How to password protect a directory in cPanel

To restrict access to directories on your website, you can use cPanel's built-in password protection feature.

1) Login to your cPanel
2) Click on Directory Privacy
3) Select the directory you want to password protect by clicking its name.
4) Check the "Password Protect" box and give a name for the directory, and click "Save".
5) The directory is now protected, and requires a password to enter it via a browser.
6) We must need to add at least one authorized user to enable access to the directory. Complete the fields in the Create User
 section and click "Save".
