How to Reset SolusVM VPSAdmin Password




SolusVM is a VPS control panel which supports OpenVZ, Xen, KVM virtuallization technologies. It uses an administrator login to manage the servers. In the event that you have lost/Forgot your SolusVM password you can reset it using the following php script.


Please follow the below mentioned steps to reset the SolusVM VPSAdmin Password:

# Log into to your SolusVM master server via SSH as 'root' user.

# Run the following command on SolusVM master server to reset the password


Command: php /usr/local/solusvm/scripts/pass.php --type=admin --comm=change --username=<ADMIN_USER_NAME>

Replace <ADMIN_USER_NAME> with the admin username for SolusVM. The default SolusVM admin username is "vpsadmin".


For Example :

php /usr/local/solusvm/scripts/pass.php --type=admin --comm=change --username=vpsadmin

Fire the above command on Master server and you will get an output similar to the following: 

New password: [email protected]$

New admin password is now changed to "[email protected]$". You can use this password to access the SolusVM admin panel.
